The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan announced the resumption of issuing visas of all categories for citizens of Turkmenistan, as well as persons with a residence permit.

The Consular Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation informs that in accordance with the orders of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 513-р dated March 16, 2022 and No. 522-р dated March 17, 2022, the issuance of all categories of visas to Russia for citizens of Turkmenistan, as well as citizens of the third countries with a residence permit in Turkmenistan is resumed.

From March 28, 2022, applicants can register on the pre-registration website q.midpass.ru for the service "Reception of documents for visa to the Russian Federation" in the "waiting list" for the subsequent automatic appointment of the date and time of reception. At the same time, only one entry in the "waiting list" will be available for each visitor, duplicate applications will be automatically deleted by the system.

The Russian Embassy notes that the presence of a visa does not cancel the need to obtain an appropriate permit to leave Turkmenistan from its competent authorities.

Regular flights between Turkmenistan and Russia have been suspended for today.

The issuance of Russian entry visas for citizens of Turkmenistan was discontinued in March 2020. The exception was citizens who were issued visas in cases of humanitarian travel.

The visa regime between Russia and Turkmenistan has been in effect since 1999. Visa applications are accepted by the Consular Department of the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi. Detailed information on obtaining a visa to Russia can be found on the official website of the Russian Embassy.
