“I express sincere gratitude to the people of independent and neutral Motherland for the confidence held in me during the national elections, on the outcome of which I was elected President of Turkmenistan!”. With these words has started his speech Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the solemn inauguration ceremony, which was broadcasted by the news program “Vatan” of the Turkmen television.
The new Turkmen leader noted that this trust is approached as the trust of all educated and well-bred youngsters who conversant with the most advanced and innovative technologies.
The newly elected head of Turkmenistan assured the Turkmen people that “he will make every effort, energy, knowledge, experience and abilities for the sake of the prosperity of the holy Motherland and the peaceful, flourishing and happy life of his native people”.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s inauguration for the post of the President of Turkmenistan was held at the Ruhyyet Palace (“Spirituality”) as per established protocol, taking into account national traditions. Honorary elders, the members of the Halk Maslahaty and deputies of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh (Parliament), the members of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council, the representatives of public organizations and diplomatic representatives accredited in the country, the youngsters.
