The commitment to further promotion of multidimensional Turkmen – Kazakh cooperation was affirmed during a telephone conversation held today, where the heads of states Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym - Jomart Tokayev as well as Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the newly elected to the post of the President of Turkmenistan.
As per Turkmen state news agency, Kassym - Jomart Tokayev cordially offered congratulations to the interlocutors on the successfully conducted presidential elections in the country, highlighting that Kazakhstan always supports productive initiatives of the Turkmen side and sincerely rejoice at fraternal nations’ success.
In return, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the Kazakh side for active participation on the elections as observers and assistance in organizing the voting of citizens of Turkmenistan on the territory of Kazakhstan. The Turkmen leader also noted that from now on he intends to continue his active political activity in the new capacity of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
Having expressed deep gratitude for congratulations and good wishes, the newly elected head of Turkmen state Serdar Berdimuhamedov proclaimed his readiness to continue current forward-looking foreign policy course in which an important role is given to building up of mutually profitable multidimensional partnership with fraternal Kazakhstan.
In conclusion, the interlocutors expressed the form confidence that their friendship and cooperation, binding two nations from ancient times would make a good headway for the welfare of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
