President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on appointment of Askar Tazhibayev as the new ambassador to Turkmenistan, the official website of Akorda reports today.
Previously, Askar Tazhibayev hold a position of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Tajikistan.
By another presidential Decree Yerkebulan Sapiev was appointed as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey and relieved from the position of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan.
Askar Yerlikovich Tazhibayev was born on the 25th of April, 1962. In 1984 he graduated from the Almaty Energy Institute. In 1985-1987 dud his military service.
1984-1994 worked as a technician of the Almaty basin management “Kazglavselezashchita”, an engineer of the cable department “Kazglavelektrosnabsbyt”, an engineer-adjuster of the CMMD Glavptitseprom of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kazakh SSR, an electrician of the Almaty enterprise for the repair of printing equipment, deputy chairman of the production cooperative “Norma-2”, chief specialist, head of the department “Kazinturservis”.
In 1994-1997 - Third secretary, second secretary, first secretary of the Human Resources Department and Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
In 1997-1999 - Head of the Passport and Visa Section of the Consular Services Department, Counsellor of the 2ndDepartment, Counsellor of the CIS Department of the MFA of Kazakhstan.
In 1999-2002 - Senior Expert of the Executive Committee of the Interstate Council of CAEC (Bishkek).
In 2002-2002 - Head of the CIS Affairs Committee of the MFA of Kazakhstan.
In 2002-2005 - First secretary, Counsellor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
In 2005-2008 - Counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan.
In 2009-2011 - Deputy Director of Central Asia, South Caucasus and Turkey Department of the MFA of Kazakhstan.
In 2011-2015 - Director of the CIS Department of the MFA of Kazakhstan.
In 2015-2019 - Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belarus.
In 2019 – 2022 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Tajikistan.
Askar Tazhibayev was awarded the jubilee medals “10 years of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “20 years of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “25 years of the diplomatic service of Kazakhstan”.
