Kazakhstan limited the export of cash currency

Kazakhstan leads a ban on the export of cash foreign currency and monetary instruments in foreign currency in the amount of exceeding the equivalent of 10 000 USD. The country’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the corresponding decree.

In accordance with the document, published on the official website of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the decree also provides for restrictions on the export of refined gold bars of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 grams and gold and silver investment coins issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Refined gold over 100g is also under the ban.

As noted in the document, it is aimed at protecting the national interest of Kazakhstan and ensuring the financial stability of the country.
