An international researchers group discovered new water and wind traces on Mars. The data was collected with the help of Zhurong rover, which was delivered to the Red planet last year in May, informs mir24.

During the stay on Mars, which amounted 60 Martian days, the car managed to cover 450 meters in the Utopia plain region, located in the northern hemisphere. To the experts opinion, previously this territory was filled with water.

Thanks to data got from the rover’s cameras, scientists have found, that the small carved lines on the stones formed by the wind action. And on some rocks water erosion traces were revealed. At he same time, the ripples on the surface of Mars, which look like sand dunes, most likely formed due to the wind. Specialists believe, that most likely, it no longer exists on this planet.
