CIS observers visited polling stations in Ashgabat

The CIS mission of observers that arrived at the invitation of Turkmenistan in connection with the upcoming Presidential elections on March 12, visited the polling stations in Ashgabat, MIR 24 reports.

Observers reviewed the procedure for holding the upcoming elections and highly noted the readiness of the conditions established for voters.

According to the Head of the mission, Leonid Anfimov, on the territory of the polling stations, special rooms with the legal documentation and legislative acts are available following which Presidential elections are held.

It was also noted that citizens will be able to get clarifications about the programs of Presidential candidates from members and the Head of the Election Commission at any time.

More than 2,500 polling stations in the country and 41 in foreign diplomatic missions established for the Presidential elections in Turkmenistan.

Early voting has already begun in the elections. Voters who will not be able to be at their place of residence on Election Day, take part in it.
