An International Forum aimed at attracting foreign investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan will be held in Ashgabat on March 29-30. Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the organization of this event during Government meeting today, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
At the same time, the Forum will be held in the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan at the World Expo 2020 to be connected by a spacebridge to the Turkmen capital.
To recap, the comprehensive modernization of the fuel and energy complex is identified as one of the priorities in the Development Program of Turkmenistan for the next thirty years. At the same time, the diversification of the oil and gas industry, along with other tasks, provides for the development of mutually beneficial international contacts, the export potential of the industry, as well as attracting foreign investment for the implementation of projects for the exploration, development of new fields, production and processing of hydrocarbon resources.
