The UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, UNDP Permanent Representative in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan and Acting Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Philip Saprykin took part in the talks.
The main topic of discussion was the preparation for the upcoming early Presidential elections of Turkmenistan to be held on March 12.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Serdar Berdimuhamedov has already been registered as a candidate for the post of the President of Turkmenistan. The Central Election Commission also registered a candidate from the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan - Deputy Head of Mary Region Aghajan Bekmyradov.
