Today, the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan held a regular meeting, registering the candidate nominated by the Agrarian Party for the post of the President of the country, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
The meeting was held with the participation of the head and members of the CEC, as well as media representatives.
Deputy Head of Mary Region Aghajan Bekmyradov was registered as a candidate for the highest state post, whose candidacy was nominated and unanimously approved by the participants of the Extraordinary IV Congress of the Agrarian Party held on the eve.
Congratulating the candidate on his nomination and registration for the highest state post, the Chairman of the CEC gave him the relevant certificate.
In his turn, A.Bekmyradov expressed gratitude to the participants of the meeting of the Central Election Commission and assured that if he is elected the President of Turkmenistan, he will use all his knowledge, skills and experience to justify the high trust placed in him.
To recap, on the eve of this event, the CEC registered Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov, nominated by the Democratic Party for the post of the President of Turkmenistan.
Early elections of the President of Turkmenistan will be held on March 12, 2022.
