Interaction in the field of transport systems and "smart cities" was the main topic of the meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Batyr Niyazliev with the Deputy Mayor, Head of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of Moscow Maxim Liksutov, turkmenistan.ru website reports.
In particular, the emphasis was placed on cooperation in the field of land transport as well as modern urban agglomerations and "smart cities" establishment.
Maxim Liksutov expressed the opinion that there is a good opportunity for cooperation in such segments as transport security, optimization of parking spaces and introduction of electronic transport management systems in large cities, the source notes.
In order to conduct substantive negotiations, the possibility of the Moscow delegation visit to Turkmenistan was considered in this context. During the visit, the Russian party proposed to discuss such issues as use of digital technologies, formation of transport infrastructure during the construction of Ashgabat City as well as "green corridor" for the supply of the Turkmen agricultural products to Moscow. And what is more, organization of Joint Business Forum with the participation of business circles of Turkmenistan and Moscow as a first step towards systematic and long-term cooperation.
Aspects of cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian areas were also discussed during the negotiations.
The parties noted that the multifaceted interaction of Turkmenistan with the administrative establishments of Moscow has broad prospects and is mutually beneficial.
