The state will continue comprehensive supporting entrepreneurship, which is one of the driving forces of the national economy. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated it during Expanded Government Meeting held on Friday as part of Extraordinary Meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
"To increase the potential of small and medium–sized enterprises, we must continue providing them with the state support," Berdimuhamedov said.
In 2022, the Head of State instructed to continue targeted measures to support small and medium-sized businesses and the establishment of a modern entrepreneurial area. In this regard, the relevant managers were instructed to assist individuals in finding new markets and types of products’ sales, to increase the volume of domestic products sold on the consumer market, as well as to continue the comprehensive implementation of the digital system in the areas of trade and entrepreneurship as well as to involve private producers more widely in the country's food supply.
Purposeful use of the non-state sector potential of the national economy is also identified among the priorities in the new economic strategy designed for 30 years.
The President of the country stressed the need to support the formation of large companies and startups – new types of business based on innovation.
The Turkmen leader also ordered to use the opportunities of entrepreneurship more widely in reforming the agricultural and industrial complex on the basis of innovative management methods.
