Road to public administration should be given to young leaders at the new stage of Turkmenistan's development. Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated it at an Extraordinary Meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh (Parliament) of Turkmenistan.
"I support the idea that at a new stage of our country's development, road to public administration should be given to young leaders brought up in spiritual environment and in accordance with high requirements of modernity. As the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, I intend to further direct my vast life and political experience to this area," Berdimuhamedov said, according to the State Information Agency of the country.
Explaining his decision, the Head of State noted that he had been working in the highest and very responsible position of the President of Turkmenistan for 15 years, simultaneously acting as Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the State Security Council, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh. At the same time, the Turkmen leader stressed that he reached the age of the prophet two years ago.
Speaking about this, Berdimuhamedov also noted that for 15 years, since the elections of the President of Turkmenistan were held in the country on February 11, 2007, he felt great trust and support of his native people. According to the President of the country, he felt this high confidence very clearly at the national elections of 2012 and 2017.
Noting that he places special hope on the youth of the country, because "the younger generation is the embodiment of hopes for the future," the Head of Turkmenistan assured his compatriots that he will continue doing his best in the name of prosperous life and great destiny of his beloved Motherland, courageous people and generations.
