On the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan is marked as one of ten countries actively participating in Youth Student Exchanges with Russia.

The top ten countries that actively participated in Youth Exchanges with Russia include China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Belarus, Turkmenistan, Mongolia and Iran. The leadership belongs to China: 10.4 thousand students were involved in the exchange process.

In total, 178 countries participated in the International Youth Exchanges with Russia in the period from 2020 to 2021.

Foreign students not only study at Russian universities, but also take active part in International Summer and Winter Schools - one of the forms of additional education. This allows students deepening their knowledge in the following disciplines: physics, computer science, history, mathematics, biology and others.

Over the past 2 years, 15.6 thousand foreigners participated in Summer and Winter Schools, among which students from Turkmenistan are also noted.

To recap, according to the Press Service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, 30.6 thousand Turkmen students from Turkmenistan studied at Russian universities in January 2022.

It should be noted that the year 2021, despite the coronavirus pandemic, was very fruitful in the development and strengthening of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia in all areas, including regular contacts between the Heads of the two States.
