"In recent years, relations between Turkmenistan and the Italian Republic in various areas have been characterized by efficiency, mutual benefit and dynamism," Berdimuhamedov noted in his message, confirming his readiness to jointly continue the required work to bring them to a new level.
Taking advantage of this pleasant opportunity, the Turkmen leader expressed to the President of the Italian Republic wishes for good health and great success in activities aimed at the progress and prosperity of the Italian people.
Sergio Mattarella was re-elected to the highest state post on January 29 in the eighth round of voting. The term of office of the President of Italy is 7 years. Mattarella has been President of the Italian Republic since February 3, 2015.
759 election participants from parliamentarians and representatives of regions voted for the incumbent President, who completed his first seven-year mandate. To be elected President, it was enough to gain an absolute majority (more than 50%), that is, 505 votes.
Mattarella received the second election result in the history of the Italian Republic. There was already a precedent with the re-election of the President of Italy for the first time in 2013, when Giorgio Napolitano agreed to a second term.
