“Newcastle”, “Juventus” and “Barcelona” spend more in the winter transfer window

The teams' spending rankings are published on the Transfermarkt portal. According to the source, “Newcastle”, which are in 18th place in the Premier League, spent the most this winter on transfers – 102,1 million euros. At the end of 2021, the club was bought by Saudi investors.

In second place was “Juventus” (€97.7 million), in third was “Barcelona” (€55 million). The top 10 also includes “Liverpool” (€45million), “Everton” (€37.5million), “Aston Villa” (€30million), “Tottenham” (€29million), “Fiorentina” (€28million), “Zenit” (€27,15million) and “Watford” (€24,7million).

The most high-profile deal of this winter was the transfer of Dusan Vlahovic from “Fiorentina” to “Juventus” for €81,6 million. Transfers of Ferran Torres from “Manchester City” to “Barcelona” for €55 million and Luis Diaz also got into the top 3 from “Porto” to Liverpool for €45 million.
