The territory of Western Turkmenistan has the most favorable conditions for the development of wind energy, Candidate of Technical Sciences Serdar Mametniyazov, representing the Aarhus Center in Ashgabat, states it on the pages of the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan". In this region, the wind speed averages 5-8 m/sec at a height of 10 meters, and, according to existing estimates, a level of 30 m will give an indicator of 10-12 m/sec.

The operation of several wind generators with a capacity of 150-200 kW would facilitate the autonomous power supply of a residential energy-saving house.

Depending on the functional purpose of the sources, electrical supply may include elements related to production activities: a greenhouse, food warehouses, a hangar for maintenance of agricultural machinery, farms, a reservoir for storing water necessary for household needs, watering animals and watering plants.

For example, the total capacity of wind turbines for 80 farms would be 14 MV with the production of 48.0 million kWh per year, and, at the same time, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions would amount to 38.4 thousand tons of CO2.

Turkmenistan has a large number of sunny days, and if houses are built with minimal heat losses and energy supply from renewable energy sources here, this will create comfortable urban-type social and living conditions for the rural population. In such houses, with minimal energy costs, a comfortable room temperature can be maintained year-round, as well as an uninterrupted power supply of household appliances. The main sources of electricity can be a solar photovoltaic array, and the heat source is a heat pump and solar collectors.

Calculations show that for one house with an area of 120 square meters, constructed using renewable energy sources, for a comfortable stay of a family of 5 people, the total heat consumption for heating and hot water supply will be about 850 kWh/ year. Of these, 50% of the energy can be provided from solar energy.

One set of renewable energy installations up to 3 kW of power is enough for one residential building as part of a farm that is not connected with centralized power supply.

It is possible to develop a heat supply system for distant-pasture cattle tending and irrigated agriculture. It is also advisable to consider the solar fuel principle in the systems of existing boiler houses.

Heating and hot water systems based on solar energy are increasingly being used in the residential sector in a number of countries every year. This is due to the desire to introduce clean technologies, save fuel and reduce the negative impact on the environment. Positive experience in this direction is especially relevant for our climatic conditions. Providing the rural population of Turkmenistan with affordable solar collectors for hot water supply would reduce the cost of natural gas and electricity for heating water.
