In Saudi Arabia, scientists from the University of Western Australia discovered “burial alleys” during a large-scale study. According to the lenta.ru edition, an unusual network of roads along which well-preserved Bronze Age tombs are located was found in Saudi Arabia in the districts of Alula and Haibar. According to experts, the found roads were the main ways of transportation 4.5 thousand years ago. This discovery was made possible through a study that included aerial photography, ground photography, satellite imagery and excavation. And thanks to the radiocarbon method of research, it was possible to establish that the main part of the tombs was built between 2600 and 2000 BC. In total, about 18 thousand tombs were found, of which 80 were selected for further study.
