A unique artifact was found during excavations in Oman. Archaeologists at the University of Warsaw discovered a 4,000-year-old stone board game in the Kumaira Valley. Experts believe that the rules of the game are most reminiscent of backgammon. There are 13 squares on the field with a recess in the center. Presumably, the players rolled the dice to place them on the board and then remove the opponent's pieces. In the Kumaira Valley, where archaeological excavations have been underway since 2015, researchers have already found artifacts from five different historical periods, mir24 reports.
