The head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on his 60th birthday, media.az reports.
In his congratulatory telegram, Berdimuhamedov stressed that “at present, great success has been achieved in all spheres of the socio-political life of Azerbaijan. These achievements of the country in economic development, strengthening of its authority in the world arena are inextricably linked with the name of Aliyev.”
“You have completely devoted yourself to protecting the interests of your native country, realizing national goals and programs. This loyal service to the people is worthy of appreciation,” Berdimuhamedov stressed.
The Turkmen leader highlighted the personal contribution and all-round support of President Aliyev to the development of strategic and good-neighborly relations between the two countries, the strengthening of sincere friendship and brotherhood of peoples.
Taking this pleasant opportunity, the President of Turkmenistan sincerely wished the hero of the day good health, happiness and family well-being, and the people of Azerbaijan - peace, further progress and prosperity.
Ilham Aliyev is the fourth President of Azerbaijan, holding this post since October 31, 2003. He is the son of the former leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev.
