Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed an order on sending humanitarian aid to neighboring Afghanistan. This was reported by the "Vatan" news program of the Turkmen television.
The document instructs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize the delivery of the cargo in the current month.
Let us remind you that Turkmenistan has already sent aid to Afghanistan after the well-known events in this country. On September 1, a cargo was sent, including medicines, protective clothing for medical personnel, medical supplies, disinfectants, medicinal solutions, protective masks, surgical gloves, means and drugs for the treatment of coronavirus infection.
At the recent ECO summit in Ashgabat, Berdimuhamedov called on members of the organization to provide urgent assistance to the Afghan people.
