New Head of WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan presented with copies of the letters of credence

Today, the newly appointed head of the World Health Organization Country Office in Turkmenistan, Egor Zaitsev, presented copies of his letters of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov. This was reported on the website of the country's Foreign Ministry.

Congratulating Egor Zaitsev on his appointment, the minister wished him success in his future work.

During the conversation, the parties noted the high level of interaction in priority areas, and also exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda in the field of health.

The results of the recent visit to Turkmenistan of the Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe Hans Kluge, as well as the mission of experts from the WHO European Office to Turkmenistan were considered.

Also, issues of cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 were discussed within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry and the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan, the source notes.
