Today the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Turkmenistan. The distinguished guest will take part in the 15th Summit of Heads of State of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met him at the International Airport of the Turkmen capital.
During the meeting, the leaders of the two countries discussed interaction within the framework of international and regional structures, including the UN, OSCE, CIS, ECO.
Berdimuhamedov and Rahmon also exchanged views on the state and prospects of Turkmen-Tajik cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
Let us remind you that this is the second visit of the Tajik leader to Turkmenistan this year. The first, the state one, took place in early August. At the same time, the President of Tajikistan took part in the third consultative meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia, held at the “Avaza“ NTZ.
