International consultants Dmitry Vinogradov and Elena Shadrina offered the participants recommendations to strengthen the research and innovation component in the trading system.

Akmurat Danatarov, UNDP Program Analyst on Governance, Economic Diversification and Inclusive Growth:

“As global markets become competitive, along with other issues, it is important to improve the application of scientific and innovative approaches to the study of trade and knowledge management in order to remain competitive in foreign markets.

As we know, over the past couple of decades, public-private partnership mechanisms have been widely used at the international level to promote economic growth. Therefore, the topic of our discussion today is very important to support the country's efforts to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”

We remind that a joint project of UNDP and the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan "Strengthening the Trade Potential of Turkmenistan" was launched in 2019.
