The program of the Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival includes a feature film by the Turkmen director Vep Ishangulyev “Nejep oglan”. This was reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
At the festival, which will be held in Istanbul from 8 to 12 November, filmmakers from the Turkic world will present their best works. Film genres are very different - from historical drama and science fiction to documentaries and animation films.
The premiere of the film “Nejep Oglan”, produced by the “Turkmenfilm” Association named after Oguzhan, took place in Ashgabat last year. The plot is based on the epos of the same name, which tells about the events in the life of a young bahshi, who had the gift of playing the dutar to heal the sick.
For a reliable transmission of the era, the film crew went on expeditions to the historical sites of Turkmenistan. The film contains many scenes filmed in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats.
Within the framework of the film festival, meetings and discussions will be held, as well as an exhibition of written works of Turkic literature.
