The preparation of the 15th summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation, which will be held in Ashgabat on November 28, ECO Day, was discussed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Secretary General of the above-mentioned organization Husrav Noziri. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Expressing his sincere gratitude for the invitation to visit our country, the guest noted the fruitful nature of the activities of Turkmenistan as an active member of the ECO and its Chairman this year. The Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization cordially congratulated the leader of the nation on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, stressing that this significant date symbolically coincided with the 15 ECO Summit to be held in Ashgabat this year.

Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our neutral state is always open for wide interaction with all interested foreign partners, developing friendly, good-neighborly relations, including with the member countries of this ECO.

Continuing the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for further partnership and its main vectors in the context of the current chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the ECO and the implementation of the relevant Concept.

Thus, the huge potential of the ECO member states determines favorable opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, industrial sectors, the field of introducing innovations and advanced technologies, in terms of investments.

Expressing his deep gratitude to the leader of the nation for his support in promoting a constructive and close partnership, Mr. Husrav Noziri expressed confidence that the upcoming summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation in the Turkmen capital will be successful, at a high organizational level and will be very meaningful, for which all conditions have been created here. As noted, the ECO will also do everything necessary for this.
