“The title of “ Hero of Turkmenistan ” is a great honor and a special privilege for me,” Chynar Rustamova, executive secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, said in an interview with Turkmenportal.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, she was awarded the title of "Hero of Turkmenistan". The award ceremony took place during the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, chaired by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

- It is a great honor and special privilege for me to receive the highest state award from the hands of the Honorable President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. To the applause of the participants in the Khalk Maslakhaty meeting in the Rukhyet palace, the head of our state awarded me the title of “Hero of Turkmenistan” with a gold medal of special distinction - “Altyn Aý” (“Golden Moon”). This has become for me the most unforgettable moments in my life. Of course, the sensations are the most touching and joyful.

The head of state highly appreciated my diplomatic activities, noting the services to the Turkmen state and people, great personal contribution to strengthening the sovereignty of independent, neutral Turkmenistan, the constitutional order, state independence and permanent neutrality.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our Honorable President for the high honor and trust shown to me for my many years of work and at the same time as the responsible secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO.
