Diplomat Chinar Rustamova awarded the title "Hero of Turkmenistan"

Diplomat Chynar Tadjievna Rustamova was awarded the title of Hero of Turkmenistan. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding decree today at a meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), the “Vatan” news program of the Turkmen television reported.

The head of state highly appreciated her diplomatic activities, noting the services to the Turkmen state and people, her great personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of the country.

Chynar Rustamova is one of the first Turkmen women diplomats in the history of independent Turkmenistan. For many years she worked as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan, China, Mongolia, DPRK and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Since 2018, Ch. Rustamova has been the executive secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, and also teaches at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The title of Hero of Turkmenistan is the highest degree of distinction and is awarded for especially outstanding services to the state and society. The hero of Turkmenistan is paid a one-time bonus in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars and a monthly income tax-free fifty percent supplement to wages, salaries, pensions, scholarships is established.

As a reminder, two years ago, the title of Hero of Turkmenistan was awarded to cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko and Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Aksoltan Atayeva.

We add that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov twice became the Hero of Turkmenistan.
