Organizing committees for holding two summits and a major international forum have been established in Turkmenistan

Organizing committees have been set up in Turkmenistan to hold the VI summit of the heads of the Caspian states and the XV summit of the heads of the states-members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and the international conference “Politics of Peace and Trust - the Basis of International Security, Stability and Development.” The relevant Resolutions were signed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the “Vatan” news program of the Turkmen television reported.

When signing the Resolutions, the head of state noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening constructive dialogue with neighboring countries, interaction with authoritative regional and international organizations.

“Turkmenistan intends to further strengthen these long-term fruitful ties in every possible way, take an active and proactive part in the development of solutions to pressing issues of our time, contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in the regional and global dimensions,” Berdimuhamedov said.

As previously reported, the summit of the heads of the Caspian countries is planned to be held in October. The XV summit of the heads of the ECO member states is scheduled for November 28. In December of this year, Ashgabat plans to convene the International Conference “Politics of Peace and Confidence - the Basis of International Security, Stability and Development”.
