Danil Ibraev, President of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, spoke about the establishment of a new trade route between India and Kyrgyzstan, reports tazabek.kg.
Indian goods will be transported to the port of Bandar Abbas in Iran, from there they will proceed by rail through Serahs in Turkmenistan, then Uzbekistan and to Osh.
The total length of the route from Bandar Abbas to Osh is 3,060 km. Travel time is up to 10 days.
To build a trade route with India, the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs held talks with railway operators in Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Danil Ibraev noted:
“We are now consolidating the efforts of the railways of Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to Osh.”
Within a month, the trade route should be ready for the pilot passage of the wagons “at tariffs that, in our opinion, will be competitive,” he added.
