The embassy of Turkmenistan in Kabul is not in any danger, the Taliban (banned in Russia and a number of other countries) said, refuted information that two Pakistan citizens who were preparing a terrorist attack were detained near the embassy. The corresponding statement was published on Saturday on the page of Taliban movement representative Zabihullah Mujahid on Twitter.
"The reports of some mass media that on August 26, two Pakistans, who allegedly prepared a terrorist attack against the embassy of Turkmenistan, were detained near the building of this diplomatic mission, do not correspond to reality. Nothing of the kind happened, nothing threatens the Turkmen embassy," the Taliban movement representative wrote.
Earlier, foreign media reported that on August 26, the Taliban detained two Pakistan citizens with an improvised explosive device near the building of our diplomatic mission. As specified, the suspects were arrested immediately after the incident Thursday in a terrorist attack near the building of the Kabul airport. As a result of this attack, organized by the militants of the Islamic State in Khorasan (The Islamic State terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation), about 200 Afghans and at least 13 American servicemen were killed.
Let us remind you that on August 15, a change of power took place in Afghanistan. Representatives of the movement "Taliban" captured Kabul and took control of the presidential palace. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani resigned and left the country.
