The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Vepa Hajiyev is taking part in the ongoing negotiations in Doha, Qatar, on Afghanistan between the Afghan government and representatives of the Taliban movement.
Representatives of the United Nations, the European Union, the United States, Great Britain, Russia, Pakistan, China, and Uzbekistan are taking part in the dialogue as well.
Parties discussed the prospects for a peaceful settlement amid the escalated situation in Afghanistan, confirming their firm intention to continue promoting all constructive measures to achieve an acceptable political settlement in this country, MFA Turkmenistan reports.
Additionally, as information reports, the Turkmen delegation held several bilateral meetings in Doha during their visit.
