As part of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japanese designers have made unique kimonos that reflect the culture of the countries participating in sports competitions.
The author of the idea is designer Yoshimasa Takakura. All countries have unique kimonos with descriptions for each. The work was done carefully, taking into account the symbols of each country.
The kimono, created for Turkmenistan, depicts carpet gols, Ahalteke horses, cotton, wheat and a white crescent moon, next to which there are five stars.
The project was conceived back in 2014, it took from six months to a year to make each kimono.
All designs, and there are 206 of them, are available for review on the official website of the project.
