The Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan will begin accepting applications for the extension of passports from August 2, 2021, according to the official website of the consular institution.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan No. 2300 dated July 1, 2021, the validity of passports of citizens of Turkmenistan for leaving Turkmenistan and entering Turkmenistan, which ended or expire between January 1, 2020 and December 30, 2022, was extended to 31 December 2022.

In this regard, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (the city of Astrakhan), upon request of citizens of Turkmenistan, makes a note in their foreign passports to extend their term.

To do this, the citizens of Turkmenistan must first send the following documents to the e-mail of the Consulate tm.consul1@inbox.ru, in the subject of the e-mail it is necessary to indicate the words “Passport renewal”.

List of documents to mark the extension of the passport

  1. Application addressed to the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Russia (the city of Astrakhan) by sample;
  2. Copy of your international passport;
  3. 1 photo 3x4 in electronic (JPG format);
  4. Questionnaire completed in Microsoft Word format.

The Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, after receiving the above documents, will send citizens by e-mail information about the time when they can come to receive a mark on the extension of their foreign passports. When visiting the Consulate, citizens need to have with them the original foreign passport, its copy and one 3x4 photo.

The foreign passport is renewed free of charge.

Citizens of Turkmenistan can also apply for the renewal of passports in Moscow and Kazan.
