Dwarf bananas in the volume of 3000 tons per year and oranges - 800 tons per year - are planned to be grown in the “Daýhan sarpasy” dayhan association of the Kaka etrap of the Ahal velayat, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports.
Since November last year, a greenhouse complex of an unusual design has been under construction here, which will have a height of at least eight meters - under exotic trees.
Of course, it will take several more years for the trees to grow and get stronger, years of low initial yield have passed.
“Daýhan sarpasy” received 47.65 hectares of greenhouses for use for 99 years. Agricultural producers have studied the experience of growing tropical fruits in Mary and Lebap velayats, where a similar production has already been established.
In addition, in the Kaka etrap, three more banana greenhouses of the “Gül Zemin” dayhan association, IE “Kümüş täç” and “Ata melhem” are being built.
