Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented a draft program of cooperation with Russia

The preparation of the draft Program of intergovernmental economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation for 2021-2023 became a separate topic of the report of the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the Government meeting on May 21.

The document, which is a kind of “road map” for a three-year period, covers all areas of productive relations, including the expansion of the product range of mutual trade. Such strategic areas as industry, energy, agro-industrial complex, high technologies, services, finance and others have been identified as priority vectors.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that the Russian Federation is one of the leading trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan. The fruitful interstate cooperation with ample opportunities meets the interests of the well-being of the peoples of the two states.

Speaking about the important role of the joint Intergovernmental Commission in the development of an effective dialogue between our countries, the President noted the importance of regular business meetings, during which common approaches to the formation of a platform for strengthening effective Turkmen-Russian relations are developed.

Having approved the submitted draft Program, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber to keep under strict control the implementation of the planned measures designed to help realize the enormous potential for further building up the partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, according to today's issue of the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
