The program of cultural events in honor of the Day of Ashgabat has become known

On May 25, Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova reported on cultural events to be held on May 25 in honor of the 140th anniversary of the Turkmen capital and the City Day at a meeting of the Government, according to today's Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

In accordance with the plan of the celebrations, preparations are underway for the ceremonies to mark the start of construction in the north of the capital of a new residential complex and the commissioning of 140 two-store luxury cottages in the “Choganly” residential area.

On May 25, a number of festive events will take place in Ashgabat and the country's velayats in honor of the City Day and the end of the academic year, including concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions and others.

The Vice Premier also announced preparations for the final round of the international drawing competition “Bagtyýar çagalyk”, noting that the State Academy of Arts accepted over 1,700 competitive works from young artists from our country and 15 from foreign countries.

Having listened to the report and emphasizing the importance of the upcoming festive events in the patriotic education of the young generation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister on holding all the celebrations in honor of the 140th anniversary of the capital, the City Day and the Last Bell Holiday at a high organizational level.
