The Ambassador of Turkmenistan took part in the opening of the TURKSOY Park in Hatay

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey Ishankuli Amanlyev took part in the opening ceremony of the TURKSOY Park in the Turkish city of Hatay.

According to the press service of TURKSOY, Secretary General of TURKSOY Dyusen Kaseinov, the mayor of Hatay, associate professor, Dr. Lutfyu Savash, the governor of the Erzin region Osman Demir, the ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also took part in the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Turkic republics.

The ceremony began with the performance of national anthems and the raising of the state flags of the Turkic countries. The speakers at the event emphasized the unity of the Turkic countries in language, thoughts and work.

Ambassador Amanlyev noted in his speech that Hatay is the cradle of a dozen civilizations, the opening of the TURKSOY park in this city is of great importance and wished longevity and development to the brotherhood, cooperation and unity of the countries of the Turkic world.

After the protocol part, the traditional orchestra Mehteran of the Hatay City Hall performed their favorite Turkish hymns and marches.

During the event, the traditions of the universal holiday of the Turkic world - Novruz were not forgotten. At the beginning of the traditional new year, there were ancient rites of Novruz, such as forging iron on an anvil and jumping over a burning holiday bonfire. The planting of olive trees has also taken place.

TURKSOY Park includes a country garden, walking and jogging paths, eating and drinking areas, and children's playgrounds. At the entrance to the Park, there are bas-reliefs of prominent figures of the Turkic world, such as Mahtumkuli Fragi, Nizami Ganjavi, Muhtar Avezov, Chingiz Aitmatov, Alisher Navoi, Yunus Emre.

A photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Turkic republics was also held in Hatay.
