Bus service between the capital and regions of Turkmenistan resumes

From April 1, in Turkmenistan, in test mode, intercity bus communication will resume in the directions Ashgabat-Dashoguz-Ashgabat; Ashgabat-Mary-Ashgabat; Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi-Ashgabat. This was reported on the website of the Turkmen motor transport company.

Buses will run in the direction Ashgabat-Dashoguz-Ashgabat and Ashgabat-Mary-Ashgabat three times a week, in the direction Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi-Ashgabat - one.

Passenger transportation will be carried out in compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements.

Passengers must have a COVID-19 negative test certificate issued at their place of residence no earlier than 72 hours before travel. It is noted that this certificate will not be required on the way back.

Buses will not stop along the route. Before boarding, passengers will have their temperature measured, and their hands will be treated with a disinfectant solution.

Employees of public security services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, the State Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the State Enterprise “Turkmen Transportnadzor” are obliged to monitor the observance of a certain distance that passengers must adhere to, as well as control the wearing of masks.

We remind you that the implementation of intercity flights in the country was suspended on July 16, 2020 in order to prevent infectious diseases. On March 1, passenger bus transportation was resumed on the route: Ashgabat - Dashoguz - Ashgabat.
