President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the new version of the Saglyk (“Health”) State Program and the Action Plan for its implementation for 2021-2025. The head of state signed the corresponding Resolution today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the “Vatan” news program of the Turkmen television reported.
The main goal of the Program is the well-being of Turkmen citizens, increasing the life expectancy of the population, an integrated approach to promoting health and preventing diseases, creating a perfect and highly effective health care system, it was reported at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Signing the document, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the exceptional importance of the work being done to improve the national health system, the comprehensive development of which is a priority task of the socially oriented state policy.
“As part of the ongoing reforms aimed at fundamental transformations in this strategic area, it is planned to build modern medical centers, purchase advanced equipment from the world's best manufacturers, train highly qualified specialists, and improve drug supply mechanisms. Increased attention should be paid to active preventive work, motivating people to a healthy lifestyle and giving up bad habits,” said the leader of the nation.
By signing the relevant Resolution, the head of state instructed Deputy Prime Minister Mammetmyrat Geldyniyazov to ensure strict control over the implementation of all envisaged measures.
