International Women's Day was celebrated today with a big festive concert in Turkmenistan. It took place in the celebration hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Among the guests of honor of the performance are mothers of many children, labor veterans, production leaders and activists of public organizations, scientists and cultural workers, women workers in various industries. Employees of diplomatic missions accredited in our country, representatives of international structures were also invited to participate in the event.

The concert program included lyric and folklore compositions, already known and new songs, old melodies and modern numbers, foreign hits, including in Italian, English, Hindi, as well as songs of Turkish, Uzbek, Kazakh, Armenian and other peoples. In a year under the motto “Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust”, it became a symbolic expression of unity with the entire international community, celebrating the 8 March holiday.

Popular pop singers, laureates of various music and creative competitions performed solo in the concert. The Turkmen State Dance Ensemble, folklore groups, the a-cappella group of the Turkmen National Conservatory, students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after S. Dovletmammed Azadi, children's ensembles.

Their colorful and heartfelt performance sounded an expression of endless love for mothers, the most sincere and deep gratitude to all the keepers of the heartfelt and traditions, generously giving warmth, kindness, tenderness and care.

Vocal numbers touching to the depths of the soul, fiery dance rhythms were interspersed with friendly applause and festive congratulations. The musical show reflected in its palette the blossoming of the Turkmen spring and the female beauty that never ceases to inspire poets, composers and singers.

Everywhere these spring days congratulations sounded - solemn and affectionate, official and cheerful - to our compatriots, to whom art and museum exhibitions, television broadcasts and publications in the press were dedicated, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
