At a working meeting on the development of agriculture taking place today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to continue work on expanding the scale of equestrian competitions, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The head of state noted that at present, several types of equestrian sports are widespread, including horse racing, show jumping, equestrian marathon, and there is also an equestrian amble school at the “Galkynysh” group of national equestrian games.
According to Berdimuhamedov, all these competitions are designed to demonstrate the sports skills of Ahalteke horses, to identify the most capable representatives of this breed.
The President of Turkmenistan also gave relevant instructions on comprehensive high-level preparation for the National holiday of the Turkmen horse, which will be held in Mary velayat this year.
