The air fleet of Turkmenistan will be replenished with Airbus aircraft for the first time. The corresponding Resolution was signed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, allowing the Turkmenhowayollary Agency to conclude with the French company Airbus S.A.S. a contract for the purchase of two used cargo aircraft of the A330-200 model of the P2F modification, the Turkmenistan State News Agency reported.
Such a decision was made "in order to successfully solve the problems stipulated by the National Program for the Development of Civil Aviation of Turkmenistan for 2012-2030 and to increase the volume of freight traffic," the Resolution says.
Liners of modification P2F have a carrying capacity of up to 59 tons, and their flight range is up to 7400 km.
