For the period from the 1 st August to 27 th of December of this year 21 tons of apples for the sum of 12.6 thousand US dollars were sent from Georgia to Turkmenistan. This piece of news came to the correspondent of “Turkmenportal” from the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
In total, during this period, Georgia exported 8 thousand tons of its apples worth 3.4 million US dollars.
As it is noted in the Ministry, the volume of apple export for the indicated period increased in 14 times
in comparison with the year of 2019, what is equal in monetary terms in 3.1 million US dollars more.
This year main export of Georgian apples was into Russia – 7.6 thousand tons, also they were exported to Kazakhstan, Armenia, Hungary, Singapore and Hong Kong.
