Elena Panova, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan who is finishing mission in Turkmenistan, was received today in the Ministry of foreign affairs.
Head of MFA Rashid Meredov expressed gratitude to the representative of authoritative international organization for his personal contribution to the development of cooperation between the UN and Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for further building up a long-term constructive dialogue and discussed issues on further consolidating efforts in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as in countering modern challenges and threats.
The UN representative expressed sincere gratitude to the Turkmen side for the assistance and support provided over the years in its work. It was noted that joint programs and projects in the areas of human rights, ecology, sustainable transport and others have been successfully implemented in Turkmenistan for many years, said Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
