Today, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reports the State News Agency of our country.
Having sincerely congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on a significant date – the 25th anniversary of neutrality, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed his best wishes to the head of Turkmenistan and the entire Turkmen people. As it was emphasized, Uzbekistan highly values the peaceful, forward-looking policy of neutral Turkmenistan, which is an integral factor in strengthening stability and sustainable development in the region, and values the bonds of friendship and brotherhood that reliably cement relations between the two states.
Having thanked for warm congratulations President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that international – accepted statutory of permanent neutrality is the most important guarantee of successful implementation of external policy of Turkmenistan and serves as solid ground for the development of equal and mutually respecting relations with the states of the world.
In this context, most significant meaning goes to the development of fruitful cooperation with neighboring countries, with the nations with whom Turkmen people relate by long-lasting historic, political, economic and cultural connections.
