The XIII international online conference on digital economy and innovative technologies of Turkmenistan "Türkmentel-2020" has started its work today.
The address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the conference participants was read by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgeldi Ovezov.
“Türkmentel-2020” serves as a significant platform for developing effective mechanisms for ensuring cultural and economic rapprochement of peoples, sustainable development of States, as well as modernization of the telecommunications sector," the Message reads.
Recall that the forum is held in the building of the chamber of Commerce and industry, foreign representatives participate via videoconference.
The Conference program includes 4 sessions with 30 speakers. The forum also provides for business meetings of participants "face to face".
The plenary session "Information and communication technologies: building a safer, connected and sustainable world" is being held today. Among the speakers: Hajimyrat Hudaygulyev, Chairman of the “Turkmenaragatnashyk” Agency, Masuma Khavari, Minister of telecommunications and information technologies of Afghanistan, Haulin Zhao, Secretary General of the International telecommunication Union, Natalia Mochu, regional Director for the CIS of the International telecommunication Union (ITU), Elmir Tofig oglu Velizade, Deputy Minister of transport, communications and high technologies of Azerbaijan, Luis George Romero, Director General of the European telecommunications standards Institute, Nurudin Muhitdinov, Director General of The regional communications community (RCC), Mikko Lavanti, Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia of NOKIA, Harve Dirre, President and CEO of Thales Alenia Space.
The second session of the Conference is devoted to the topic "Satellite strategy and best practices, trends and prospects for the development of the industry".

The conference is organized by the Agency of Turkmenistan "Türkmenaragatnashyk" and Summit Conferences (Great Britain).
