Flight with Turkmen citizens from Tatarstan lands in Turkmenabat

An Turkmenistan Airlines flight with Turkmen citizens who were stuck in Tatarstan following the suspension of passenger air service in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic has landed in Turkmenabat Internatioal Airport.

Aircraft Boeing-777-200LR on flight T5738 brought more than 200 citizens who were forced to stay in this region of Russia.

Also, on the indicated flight, anyone could send a cargo weighing more than 45 kg, according to the official website of the representative office of the Turkmenistan Airlines in Russia.

It should be reminded that the phased export of Turkmen citizens to their homeland is carried out on the instructions of the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), all citizens of Turkmenistan arriving on a charter flight from Russia will undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine.

Earlier, the government of Turkmenistan organized the export of citizens from Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan and the European Union countries.

Turkmenistan is taking all necessary measures to prevent infection. Sanitary and epidemiological surveillance and medical control at all border and customs points equipped with thermal imagers, infrared and electronic thermometers have been strengthened, comprehensive preventive measures and explanatory work are being carried out.
