"The outbreak of a new wave of coronavirus infection in many countries of the world cannot but cause concern," the President of Turkmenistan said, stressing that the Government is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures. As Berdimuhamedov noted, with the beginning of the pandemic, we suggested, which has already been confirmed in world scientific circles, that viruses are spread not only by airborne droplets, but also by air-dust, which significantly increases the distance of infection.

The head of state, noting the importance of wearing medical masks, strict observance of social distance, hand disinfection, hygiene rules, body temperature control and the use of harmala for sanitary and preventive purposes, gave specific instructions to the head of the health sector to systematically organize speeches in the media and conduct explanatory, propaganda and educational events in order to strictly observe the rules of hygiene and cleanliness standards.

"Only constant monitoring of the situation, joint work of health care institutions, all structures involved in preventive measures and the population will help to maintain a stable situation and prevent the emergence of a dangerous infection in our country," the Turkmen leader stressed.

In this context, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered to continue implementing a set of preventive measures to further protect our territory from the importation and spread of infectious diseases, and to hold regular meetings of the emergency Commission to combat the spread of diseases.
