Turkmenistan continues to organize the departure of its citizens abroad.

A Boeing 737-800 of Turkmenistan airlines landed at the Turkmenabat international airport early this morning, bringing home from Munich Turkmen citizens who were forced to stay in the European Union countries after the termination of air traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Special flight T5486 from Munich international airport named after Franz Josef Strauss was organized on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In accordance with the recommendations of the world health organization (WHO), all citizens who arrived on a Charter flight from Germany will undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine.

Earlier, the government organized Charter flights to the Turkmenabat international airport from Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and India for the return of Turkmen citizens who were unable to return earlier due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. 120 citizens of Turkmenistan returned to their homeland by land from Uzbekistan.

In the near future, regular export of our compatriots from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other Asian and European countries will be organized.
